Nexxus Expands Haircare with Anti-Break Shampoo, Thickening Conditioner and Root Lifting Thickening Spray

Nexxus is shining a light on hair breakage with its latest innovation. The Nexxus Unbreakable Care Range includes Anti-Break Shampoo, Thickening Conditioner and Root Lifting Thickening Spray.

The new haircare collection includes a Proteinfusion blend with Advanced Regenerative Keratin Protein. It is formulated to address underlying causes of hair loss due to breakage for all fine and thin hair textures – such as styling, chemical processes, color and brushing.

 

Through research, the brand discovered that 50% of US women either have fine or thin hair and 67% have taken no action to address it. Protein science analysis led the brand to a key insight about fine hair that drove its formula design. Fine hair has a smaller inner core and 40% less protein than thick hair. Nexxus also discovered that the protective cuticle layer of fine hair is also thinner than thick hair, meaning with its smaller inner core and thinner outer cuticle layer, fine hair is 10 times more prone to breakage than any other hair type.

 

Nexxus Unbreakable Care offers consumers with fine, thin and breakage-prone hair a scientifically proven, salon-quality system that reduces up to 97% of hair loss from breakage (versus non-conditioning shampoo) and helps build fullness, said the company. Through protein analysis, Nexxus found that Arginine has almost two times more inner core-strengthening properties. These findings were used to source natural proteins that are high in arginine amino acids and created a system with advanced keratin protein, spirulina, collagen and biotin.

 

Advanced keratin actives penetrate the hair’s core, restoring strength bonds and internal resilience while providing a nourishing and protective cuticle barrier that is “breakage-defying,” said the company. A microalgae superfood, spirulina, is an amino acid that also improves hair health.

 

Collagen, known to provide elasticity support, is also in the formula. The line also includes biotin.
